2017 BJJ Goals

I like to set myself regular BJJ goals, which might be for the day, the week or the month. With a brand new year ahead and a little more BJJ training under my belt, I wanted to set some bigger and more general goals to work towards.

Being Small in BJJ

I   have been training for a year and a half and currently ranked as a white belt with four stripes. Weighing around 51kg on an average day, I am the smallest adult in my club with most of the teenagers weighing more that me. We’re lucky to have a range of ranks and variable body types to train with, and that’s taught me a lot so far on my little (no pun intended) jiu-jitsu journey.
Being Small in BJJ

5th September 2016 - I received my fourth stripe on my white belt.
15th August 2016 - Reached 400 hours of BJJ training.
24th March 2016 - I received my third stripe on my white belt.

Busted Up!

The same week I split my eyebrow open, hubby accidentally busts my lip too. We both agreed I should wear my BJJ hoody all week so people understand it’s not domestic violence…

6th May 2015 - I started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
